About Video Pictures

The majority of the VPs were shot with ten different cameras. Beginning in 2007 they ranged from fairly early digital point and shoots to small video cameras, one mid-sized camera, modern point and shoots and after 2016 an iPhone.

Many VPs are hand held. The lens is usually extended – never wide angle.

The VPs are sorted into the six main categories (water, wind, light, etc) and further grouped into sub-categories based on the strongest visual element – say light bouncing off moving water. If the light holds greater visual attention the VP is placed in the light group, despite that water and wind are also involved.

Each VP is given a chronological number within its sub-category. The final Video Pictures include an introductory time note, a selected first and last frame and an end credit.
